Not every move needs a full removal crew. A one-bedroom flat, a student move, a few large items or a single sofa is a different job, and pricing it as a full removal does nobody any favours. Same vehicles, same insurance, smaller scale.

Where the whole move is one van load.
Student moves
Halls to a flat, or a flat home for the summer. Term-end weekends are busy — book early.
Part-loads and marketplace collections
Something bought that will not fit in a car, collected and delivered.

What you get
- A driver and at least one mover — enough hands for stairs
- Blankets, straps and floor protection
- Goods in transit and public liability cover, the same as a full removal
- Dismantling of a bed or a flat-pack wardrobe where it will not go down the stair whole
What we do not do
Worth knowing before you book, rather than after.
- This is not a driver-only hire. Somebody is always carrying, which is what stops a single-item job turning into a two-hour job.

Measure the door, not the item
Most items that will not fit could have been predicted from the doorway width and the turn at the top of the stair. Two measurements save a wasted trip.
Say which floor, both ends
It is the single biggest factor in how long a small move takes, and it is the thing most often left out of the enquiry.
Have it ready
Drawers empty, bed already stripped, boxes closed. Time spent waiting is time charged.

How is it priced?
On the time and the access rather than a flat rate. Tell us the two addresses, the floors and what is going, and you will get a figure rather than an hourly rate that turns into a surprise.
Can you do it today?
Sometimes, particularly in Lanarkshire where the vans are based. Call rather than emailing if the date is tight.
Do you help carry, or just drive?
Always carry. A van with nobody to lift is not a service we offer.
